NOMADIC LADAKH LANDS

Day 1: ARRIVE LEH

Arrival Leh by morning flight and transfer to the hotel. After welcome drink take a complete rest for acclimatization to the height altitude of Leh (3500 mtrs). In the late afternoon drive to the city for an orientation walk in the markets‚ followed by a visit to Shanti Stupa‚ Leh palace. .Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 2: LEH TO SHAM VALLEY (75 KMS / 4 HRS)

After leisurely breakfast, drive to Uleytokpo on the way visit, the Hall of fame and gurudwara pather sahib, “the temple of Guardians” in spituk monasteries and later on visit 11th century, the AlchiChoskor, the oldest surviving monastic complex of the region and famous for its painting and architecture.Dinner and overnight at Uley camp

Day 3: SHAM VALLEY TO LEH VIA LAMAYURU (180 KMS / 05 – 06 HRS)

After break fast visit lamayuru monastery and drive back to Leh.Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 4: LEH – CHUMATHANG – TSOMORIRI (240 KMS / 06 – 07 HRS)

In the morning leave for Tsomoriri Lake. Tsomoririlake is famous for its bird wildlife. Enroute you will willChumathang which is famous for its hot water springs. From here a short drive will take you to Maheybridge, the main checking point to enter to this new area. On the way visit Sumdah village and another 55 kms drive will take you to Tsomoriri. The Tsomoriri Lake is located at 14,000 ft. near a small village of Korzok. Upon arrival we check in at our camp and later we will visit Korzok monastery. Later back to camp / hotel for overnight.

Day 5: TSOMORIRI - TSOKAR – TANGLANGLA – LEH (240 KMS / 8 HRS)

After an early breakfast we check out from our camp/hotel Later we drive to Tsokar(one of the hidden lake ofLadakh region) The nomadic people Changpas are most outstanding feature of this area. One can se Kiangs (wild asses) in this part of Tibetan plateau..The Drive is scenic and Tsokarlake is one of the best. And after spending some time we proceed further to Leh. Dinner & Overnight at Hotel in Leh.

Day 6: LEH–NUBRA VALLEY VIA KHARDUNG LA 18,390 FT. (120 KMS / 4 – 5 HRS)

After early breakfast, leave for Nubra Valley, driving across Khardong – la (alt: 18,380 ft. – highest motorable pass in the world). After descending in the valley, drive on to Hunder and check into fixed camp. Post lunch, you can enjoy the ride of double hump Camel on Hunder sand dune.Dinner and overnight in the camp

Day 7: NUBRA VALLEY – LEH (120 KMS / 4 – 5 HRS)

In the morning drive to Deskit (Headquarters of Nubra) and visit DeskitMonsatery. Later, drive back to Leh, reaching in the late afternoon. Rest of the day to explore the markets.Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 8: LEH TO PANGONG LAKE (140 KMS / 4 - 5 HRS – ONE WAY)

After Breakfast Leave to Pangong Lake through Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. While ascending Changla pass 5486 Mtrs. Enjoy the beautiful panoramic view of the villages below the pass. After crossing the pass halt for picnic lunch at Tsoltak, the summer pastureland of the yaks. Arrive Durbuk and from there a short drive takes you to the western shore of the lake. Enjoy the landscape in the back drop of the Lake. This famous blue brackish Lake of Pangong is 5/6 Kms wide and over 144 Kms long with half of its running the other side of the “INDO CHINA BORDER”. One rarely feels so close to nature and environment and the scenery is unforgettable.Dinner and overnight at Camp.

Day 9: PANGONG LAKE TO LEH (140 KMS / 6 HRS)

Leave Pangong Lake after breakfast and retrace the road to Leh across the Changla Pass. Upon reaching Karu, drive across the Indus and visit Hemis Monastery, the biggest and most famous monastery of Ladakh, and then return to the highway for onward journey to Leh, .Dinner and overnight at Hotel

Day 10: DEPART LEH (FLY OUT)
