UDAIPUR + KUMBHALGARH + JAWAI + JODHPUR + JAISALMER

Day 1: ARRIVE UDAIPUR

Udaipur is known as the Venice of the East. It has to its credit some beautiful temples and gardens. It lies in the Girwa Valley amidst the Aravali hills of South Rajasthan. The City is considered a Romantic city with its lakes, gardens, temples and –an Oasis in the Thar Desert.
Transfer to the Hotel & Check In

Day 2: UDAIPUR

After breakfast enjoy the sightseeing of Udaipur, which includes the visits to the following:

City Palace:

One of the largest royal complexes in Rajasthan, the City Palace stands majestically on a promontory on the picturesque Lake Pichola. The complex boasts 11 constituent Mahals (palaces), with balconies, towers and cupolas, offering a breathtaking view of the lake and its surroundings. The Durbar Hall, which was used as a venue for formal occasions like state banquets and meetings, has most luxurious interiors highlighted by some of the largest chandeliers in the world. The Palace also houses a museum displaying a number of interesting artifacts.

Jagdish Temple:

Built in 1651 AD by Maharana Jagat Singh, Jagdish Temple is the largest and the most beautiful temple in Udaipur. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple is famous for its beautiful sculpted images and towering shikhara. The temple represents a fine example of Indo-Aryan architectural style.

Sahelion ki Bari:

The Sahelion-ki-Bari Garden was built in early 18th century AD as a retreat for ladies of the royal household to spend their time in leisure. The enchantingly beautiful Garden is famous for its lotus pool, fountains (in the shape of birds), lush green lawns, flowerbeds, and marble pavilions, offering a breathtaking view to visitors.
Later enjoy Boat ride on Lake Pichola. Lake Pichola derives its name from Pichola Village. Maharana Udai Singh enlarged the lake after he founded the city of Udaipur. This picturesque 4 km long and 3 km wide lake encloses the Jag Niwas Island and the Jag Mandir. The City Palace extends along its eastern banks.

Day 3: UDAIPUR / KUMBHALGARH (Approx. 84 Kms 02-03 hrs of Drive)

After breakfast drive to Kumbhalgarh.
Positioned in the middle of thirteen mountain peaks of the Aravali range, Kumbhalgarh stands as a symbol of the past glory of the kings. The territory derives its name from the famous Kumbhalgarh Fort, the most magnificent of the 84 forts that stood during the Mewar Kingdom.
Kumbhalgarh Fort stretches across 36 kms of the Aravali Mountains and is 1100 m high from the sea level. It was never conquered, for reasons which become apparent the instant you set your eyes on it. The massive perimeter wall is an astounding 36 kms. Surrounded by thirteen mountain peaks, guarded by seven great gates and seven ramparts, strengthened by rounded bastions and immense watchtowers.

Day 4: KUMBHALGARH / JAWAI (Approx. 96 Kms 02-03 Hrs of Drive)

On arrival in Jawai, you will be greeted and escorted to your hotel.
Discovery Channel has recently premiered the fascinating story of wild leopard and humans at the hills of Jawai in Pali district of Rajasthan. Jawai, India’s Leopard Hills is one of the few places in India where one can easily sight leopards and the picturesque locations of Jawai hills and dam are also home to other wild animals and migratory birds. The haunting beauty of the Jawai hills is renowned for Leopards and one of the best places in India to sight leopards in day time. Jawai, India’s Leopard Hills are few wild places in India where leopards roam wild and free. The granite hills of Jawai have rare footage of Leopards living together like a family and can be seen at the stairs to temple during the evening. Jawai, India’s Leopard Hills are the only place in India that has the highest density of Leopards.
Reach Jawai around 1500 Hrs & enjoy the Jeep Safari (Jeep Safari not included in the Prices), There are good chances of sighting of Leopards, however we cannot guarantee the same as we cannot predict the animal behavior.
Late afternoon proceeds to Jawai Bandh.
Built across the Jawai river which is a tributary of Luni, the dam offers an exquisite view of the river. Its construction was started on 12 May 1946 and was finished in 1957. It is the biggest dam in western Rajasthan with the total area of 102,315 acres. Its height is 61.25 feet (18.67 meters) and the capacity is 7887.5 million cubic feet.
It a perfect site to watch the magnificent river and also wildlife around it. You can easily spot crocodiles and birds from the dam and the level of water makes the whole environment perfect for an outing. It is one of the vantage points in Jawai from where you can watch the entire village. The dream-like vista you get from here is precious in its nature.
After Jeep Safari, drive back to Resort.

Day 5: JAWAI / JODHPUR (Approx. 146 Kms 02-03 Hrs of Drive).

After breakfast drive to Jodhpur.
Set on the edge of the Thar desert, the imperial city of Jodhpur echoes with tales of antiquity in the emptiness of the desert. Once the capital of the Marwar state, it was founded in 1459 A.D. by Rao Jodha chief of the Rathore clan of Rajputs who claimed to be descendants of Rama the epic hero of the Ramayana.

Day 6: JODHPUR

After breakfast visit Mehrangarh Fort, which was built by Rao Jodha in 1459. It has various pavillions beautifully decorated and at times filled like museums with the old royal artifacts. From the top of the fort one can get a bird’s eye view of the old city. You will notice the predominance of blue houses referred to as Brahmin houses – the colour being associated with the high caste.
Also visit Jaswant Thada. It is a white marble memorial built by Sardar Singh in 1899 in memory of Maharaja Jaswant Singh II. The monument, in its entirety, is built out of intricately carved sheets of marble. These stones are extremely thin and polished so that they emit a warm glow when the sun’s rays dance across their surface.

Day 7: JODHPUR /JAISALMER ((Approx. 280Kms – 04-05 hrs of Drive)

After breakfast drive to Jaisalmer.
Jaisalmer mean the Hill Fort of Jaisal and is sometimes called the Golden City of India because the yellow sandstone used in every architecture of the city gives a yellowish-golden tinge to the city and its surrounding area. Situated in the middle of the vast Thar Desert, it is crowned by a commanding fort etched in yellow sandstone, with all its awesome splendour, dominating the amber-hued city. The fort actually functions as intended and is still the site of an entire living area, home to a quarter of the population.

Day 8: JAISALMER

After breakfast proceed for city sightseeing visiting.
The Jaisalmer Fort also known as Sonar Qila (the Golden Fort). Then continue to visit the Patwon-Ki-Haveli, built by Guman Chand Patwa, one of the wealthiest merchant of the time took over fifty years to complete; Salim Singh ki Haveli, believed to have been built about 300 years ago; Nathmalji ki Haveli is a late 19th century mansion that was built for Diwan Mohata Nathmal, then Prime Minister of Jaisalmer.
Late afternoon check in at Tent and enjoy tent activities
The lustrous glow off the desert sand transforms the landscape into a golden desert city. The Camel Safari is one of the unique ways to explore the small villages in Rajasthan. Day 9: JAISALMER DEPARTURE

After breakfast Drive back to Jaisalmer Airport/Railway Station. End of trip with sweet memories.
